EDIT: @MrHappy: Doesnt it popup with a message saying you have too many terminal sessions. You can prevent most of these connection problems with just a little preplanning, and good remote desktop troubleshooting skills help when other issues come up. Thanks so much! I seem to authenticate properly, but the RDP logon dialog disappears after showing, "Configuring remote session..." for a few seconds. I've tried three different computers (all running WinXP SP3), and none of them connecting to this one specific host. Telnet is OK, RDP doesn't error with an "unable to connect", it just pops back to an active "connect" button. An administrator might, for example, close a remote session without logging off.
Well it doesn't give you an error, but simply wait's for a couple of seconds, then appears to time out.
