At the very least, I always see the cursor blinking for some seconds. If I force an error in the layout it lists it, otherwise when it's correct it just says rendering problems. Btw. I tested the ram with memtest and it showed no problems. - I can run the vanilla kernels 220.127.116.11 and 18.104.22.168 (I haven't tried with the other 2.6.31.x) and it works
